CoNGLP1 is the changeover route from natural gas to LPG. The other codes show the types of premises included in your assessment.
Residential park homes
For LPG installations and relevant appliances in residential park homes.
Permanent dwellings
For domestic LPG installations and relevant appliances in permanent homes.
Leisure accommodation vehicles
Add this category if you need to work in caravans, motorhomes or similar leisure accommodation.
Course content
What you’ll cover.
The LPG core knowledge required for safe work, with the requirements of your selected premises categories applied during training and assessment.
- Properties and characteristics of LPG
- Cylinders, storage and supply systems
- Regulators, controls and LPG pipework
- Tightness testing and purging
- Combustion, ventilation, flues and chimneys
- Unsafe situations and emergency procedures

CoNGLP1 is intended for engineers changing over from another gas sector. Your existing certificates and the appliance work you intend to undertake determine the correct assessment route.
