Your recognised route to Gas Safe registration.
ACS is the nationally accredited certification scheme used to assess and certify gas-safety competence in specified categories. Successful certification supports an application to Gas Safe Register. ACS certification alone does not authorise somebody to undertake gas work where Gas Safe registration is legally required.
Choose your categories
Select the domestic gas categories that match the work you intend to undertake.
Complete the assessment
Your route includes practical and theory-based testing over the stated duration.
Apply for Gas Safe
After passing, you can apply for Gas Safe registration in your approved categories. ACS is typically valid for five years.
Entry requirements
Initial ACS is not an open-entry course.
Candidates must provide evidence of an accepted training and experience route and meet the relevant ACS prerequisites before assessment. We will review eligibility evidence before confirming a booking.
