What the winner receives

One Alpha Press P-1535 prototype press tool, with 15mm, 22mm and 28mm M-profile jaws, a Makita 3.0Ah battery, Makita charger, carry case, dry lubricant sample and lanyard strap. The winner keeps the kit; it is not a loan.

This is a prototype supplied by Alpha Press, with a manual in the box and support from James at Alpha Press. Confirm that the tool, jaws and fittings are suitable for your intended application with Alpha Press before use. An M-profile jaw does not mean every fitting or application is suitable.

The feedback arrangement

Alpha Press would like real-world, honest feedback over four weeks from receipt:

• A brief first-impressions message after two weeks.
• A short summary after four weeks: what worked well, any difficulties and suggested improvements. Photos are welcome where practical, without customer or private information.

Feedback can be private. No positive review, public post or filming is required. If suitable jobs have not arisen, a reasonable extension can be agreed with James. Follow the manual and confirmed application restrictions; stop using the tool and contact James if it or a press connection appears faulty.

The detailed feedback timetable will be agreed with the winner. We will not cancel an existing entry or withhold an already-promised prize because an entrant did not see this later clarification.

If the prototype does not work out

Alpha Press has confirmed that if the tool does not work, or the winner is unhappy with it and wishes to return it, it will provide £250 tooling credit towards an Alpha Press product of the winner’s choice. The credit is redeemed directly with Alpha Press, using tool prices based on the BES website. This is a return option, not a cash prize. Return arrangements, including postage and any credit conditions, must be explained and agreed before a return; no unannounced conditions will be assumed.

Drawing and contacting the winner

TomKat will combine the entries, check duplicates and select one winner at random using a verifiable process with an independent observer. Comments are not scored for creativity or experience. There is no new experience or qualification threshold for existing entrants.

We aim to contact the selected winner by 6 October through their entering account. We will make reasonable efforts to reach them and will never ask for payment or bank-card details to claim. There is no undisclosed short claim deadline.

Delivery or a mutually agreed presentation will be arranged with Alpha Press. We aim to arrange fulfilment within 30 days of the draw and will agree any different timing with the winner. We will not retrospectively exclude an existing entry because of an unannounced delivery restriction.

We use social handles, comments and necessary contact details to administer the draw, check duplicate entries and arrange the prize. We explain the handover to the winner and share only the information Alpha Press needs for fulfilment, support and feedback. Entrants will not be added to a marketing list, and the full entrant list will not be sent to Alpha Press.

Administration records are retained only as needed for fulfilment, queries and applicable obligations, then deleted or anonymised. Social comments remain subject to the platform’s controls. See our privacy policy; contact us about data rights or concerns. You can also complain to the ICO.

For evidence of a valid award, requests for the winner’s surname and county may be sent to info@tom-kat.co.uk within three months of the draw. We will consider the winner’s objection or request to limit disclosure; evidence may still be provided to the ASA.
