Frequently asked questions
“What is your pass rate?”
We currently hold a 99% pass rate* for all students who have trained with us. If you fail your ACS assessment and you have trained with us then you get 1 resit free of charge!
*As of 10/11/2019
“Are there flexible ways to pay for this course?”
We can split the cost of the Managed learning programme into 12 equal monthly payments, interest free. You will receive your ACS certificate once your balance is paid.
“Once I am qualified do I need to do exams again in the future?”
It is a legal requirement that all gas safe registered engineers resit their ACS assessment 5 years after completion and every 5 years respectively. There is an option to do your resit up to 6 months before your current qualification is due to expire without losing any time.
For example if your qualification expires in December 2019 you can renew in June 2019 and your next expiry date wouldn’t be until December 2024

“I have no relevant qualifications but I have a mechanical/ plumbing background. Can I join the managed learning programme ?”
This course is a recognised route into the gas industry without having an NVQ or apprenticeship. Before you can start your ACS domestic initial assessment you will need to complete the MLP course if you do or do not hold any relevant plumbing and/or gas qualifications. This course is approved by Logic certification. Once you have completed your training and passed your assessment, you will receive a certificate from Logic. Previous experience of working in the gas industry is not necessary. We conduct an informal interview assessment to assess whether you are suitable to join the course or not. Rest assured that if we feel during the interview stage that you aren’t ready for this course you will be advised.
